14 years ago today, August 11, Bea Alonzo and John Lloyd Cruz’s very first film together “Now That I Have You” was released, which paved the way for countless projects for the iconic love team.
And even after starring in so many movies and series, and getting numerous awards and accolades, the film stays close to Bea’s heart.
In an exclusive interview with the actress earlier this month, Bea fondly recalled her experience working on the movie.
“‘Yun ang first full length movie ko with Star Cinema, and it was directed by Lauren (Dyogi),” she shared. “During that time, sobrang hirap nung love team namin ni John Lloyd (Cruz) because he was also our director for ‘Kay Tagal Kitang Hinintay,’ ‘yung soap kung saan na-discover ‘yung love team namin, so I consider him as my mentor.”
Bea ended by saying the movie made all her dreams come true.
“It will always have a special place in my heart kasi dun nagsimulang matupad ang mga pangarap ko bilang a film actress,” she said.
Bea starred in the romantic drama “Kasal” last May. She also has an upcoming movie with Aga Muhlach, as well as the horror “Eerie” with Charo Santos.
