WorldWideWebDay: 4 Star Cinema movies prove that finding love online is possible

The internet has helped us achieve so many things: get unlimited information for research projects, connect to people all around the world, and most importantly (WOW), find love.

So to give a kilig twist to World Wide Web Day today, August 1, we compiled some of the cutest internet-driven love stories in recent Star Cinema movies.

1. “Always Be My Maybe (2016)”

Tintin’s (Arci Munoz) hugot makeup videos illustrated the state of her relationship with Jake (Gerald Anderson). It’s never pretty to air your dirty laundry online, but Tintin’s version is acceptable, especially since we can all relate to what she felt!

2. “Vince and Kath and James (2016)”

Vince (Joshua Garcia) knows everything about Kath (Julia Barretto), and he used it to his full advantage during their anonymous text sessions. Of course, a lot more things went down (there was lying and pretending involved!) but this movie is proof that you can find true love and friends for keeps in the internet.

3. “My Ex and Whys (2017)”

Apart from Cali’s (Liza Soberano) iconic “Pangit ba ako?” line, the movie shed light to the “whys” and “becauses” of relationships, as well as the different mindsets of girls and boys when it comes to love. This will have you scrambling to make a “Bakit List” and “Dahil List” of your own!

4. “Finally Found Someone (2017)”

Aprilyn (Sarah Geronimo) went viral on the net for all the wrong reasons (saklap ng iniwan sa altar, besh), but Raffy (John Lloyd Cruz) helped her turn the bad things into good. Their love story serves a reminder that while social media can be fun, it can lead to a lot of problems if we aren’t careful.
