Just shy of a month after undergoing knee surgery, Ronnie Alonte is back on the game. Or at least he's trying to be.
In an interview on "Umagang Kay Ganda" yesterday, July 3, the "Bloody Crayons" actor revealed that he is actually healing two basketball injuries on his left knee. An Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) sprain, a common knee injury for athletes, and an MCL sprain, common in contact sports and is usually caused by a direct hit to the knee.

In spite of his condition, he will still try to compete at this year's Star Magic All-Star Game this coming August 19. A step up from Ronnie's previous statement, in which he divulged that his knee might "unable" him to play
He said, “Ang tanong [ng fans] sa akin kung makakapaglaro ba ako sa August 19. Mayroon akong one and half months to prepare kung makakapaglaro ako roon. Try natin na makapaglaro ako."
Good luck, R2! We wish you a speedy recovery. <3
