When it rains, it pours.
The past year and this year have been tough for Ateneo alumnus Kiefer Ravena because of the controversies his name has been involved in.
Nonetheless, what made the challenges bearable for the PBA star is the presence of his girlfriend, fellow athlete Alyssa Valdez, who never left his side.
That he proudly shared on his "Tonight With Boy Abunda" guesting last night, July 3.
On his interview with the King of Talk, Kiefer revealed how his controversial sex photos last year affected his relationship with Aly.
"Naka-affect (sa amin) syempre just like with any other relationships na 'pag may mga gano'ng bagay," Kiefer explained.
"Natakot (ako), Tito. Hindi ko maisip kung paano ko ie-explain. Siguro 'pag love mo handa ka namang harapin 'yung consequence sa ginawa ko eh," he added.

Kiefer then shared how this issue proved Aly's love for him.
"I was very fortunate to have her as my girlfriend and to be honest, she never really left my side even after that.
"May scars, trust was broken, ang hirap tingnan sa mata, and ang hirap mag-explain everyday but at the same time she also sacrificed a lot because she could have easily walked away but she never did," he related.
That's mainly the reason why Kiefer thinks he found the one in Aly.
"For that I think you know you have a keeper. You know you have someone you could spend time with for the rest of your lives," he stressed.

This year, Kiefer's name was once again dragged to a doping scandal which caused him an 18-month suspension by the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) after testing positive for three substances from the World Anti-Doping Agency list of prohibited substances.

It's hard to accept the fact that you're gonna be separated from the one you love for the meantime, and Kiefer has nothing but gratitude for Alyssa for keeping his sanity intact.
"Kilala naman niya ako eh. Hindi ko naman intensyon na gawin 'yun. She would always defend me and say encouraging words for me na alam niya rin kasi kung ano 'yung nawala sa'kin.
"Ang basketball ay isa sa mga nakakapagpakalma, nagbibigay ng sanity sa'kin and it's my sanctuary," Ravena relayed.

Aly plays a big role in Kief's life. Maybe that's the reason why they sometimes talk about marriage already.
After all, you wanna marry someone who's there for you through ups and downs.
"Well every now and then (we talk about marriage). I'll be honest. We're not getting younger as well. (Pero) hindi pa naman ganun kalapit," Kiefer reiterated.
Of course, career is still their top priority.
"Minsan 'pag nabi-bring up ('yung kasal) medyo uncomfortable kasi alam naman namin kung ano 'yung mga priorities namin and our priority is to play basketball and volleyball for her. So we want to maximize our bodies, our time to being the best for our supporters," he explained.
Once and for all, before the interview ended, Tito Boy asked Kiefer "Are you a faithful boyfriend?"
"Yes, Tito Boy," he said with conviction.
"Everything that happened to us, to me, I think that's the only thing that I can return to her," he ended.
Awww! Our KiefLy hearts. ❤❤❤
