Sarah Geronimo and Piolo Pascual blessed us with Trixie and Gino’s bittersweet story of love, loss, and redemption in “The Breakup Playlist” three years ago, and we are honestly still not over it - their shared love for music brought them happiness and heartbreak, something a lot of us could relate to.
To bring back all the feels (we know Cancer season is messing with your emotions!!!), here are six moments from the movie that will make you realize love is exactly like music - it makes you smile, it makes you cry, it makes you feel alive.
1. Trixie and Gino’s first meeting
When Gino called out Trixie for being flat while singing, it was a real meet-cute - the chemistry and the sparks were there, and you just can’t help but smile at their easy banter.
2. Their first duet
This is the moment Trixie and Gino realized they were MAGIC together, and it was so sweet how they just clicked the very moment they started singing.
3. The first date
Telling someone how you feel through CDs is the absolute dream! Aminin, gusto mo rin ‘tong gawin para sa jowa mo!!!
4. The breakup
One little thing could change a whole relationship, and Trixie and Gino showed it perfectly. How the argument started, how things escalated, they were all just on point it’ll make you think of that Ex Who Did You Wrong.
5. Gino breaks down without Trixie
The aftermath of their breakup - Gino was visibly SHOOK that their relationship ended with just a snap of a finger, and he regretted it completely. Sadly, you just can’t take back all the hurtful things you said. 💔
6. Trixie confronts Gino
“Mahal kita pero… pinatay mo lang ako!” brings tears to my eyes EVERY SINGLE TIME. That was the ultimate breakup line right there. HUHU!
