According to Zanjoe, a comedy movie is always a welcome challenge, especially since he mostly does drama in his television work.
[so] para iba naman 'yung mapapanood nila sa pelikula kasi may bayad naman 'yun, iba naman [parang 'Kusina Kings']," he said at the "Kusina Kings" Grand Media Launch last Saturday, July 14.

"Kusina Kings" tells the story of easy-go-lucky Ronnie (Zanjoe Marudo) and chef Benjie (Empoy Marquez), high school best friends who have been there for each other through thick and thin. As the restaurant they built with their blood, sweat, and dreams struggles to get off the ground, Benjie takes on the Kusina Kings Challenge where they will either win big or go home with nothing.
It also stars Ryan Bang, Nathalie Hart, and Maxine Medina. Catch it in cinemas this July 25!
