After trying his hand at a superhero movie last year, Vice Ganda is bringing fairytales to the Metro Manila Film Festival this year with “Fantastica: the Princesses, the Prince, the Perya.”
At the film’s story conference earlier today, July 13, the unkabogable comedian shared that this movie will be less “angas” and more “pa-sweet.”
“May mga prinsesa, fairytale-fairytale, mas makulay, mas sweet, mas maganda kasi may mga kaharian,” Vice said, adding that he’ll also have magic powers and colorful outfits similar to “The Revenger Squad.”
“Meron akong mga espesyal na mga kakayahan… at syempre, makulay, malala, nakakatuwa ulit ‘yung itsura ko dito para tuwang-tuwa 'yung mga bata,” he said.
Vice also shared his excitement for his two leading men in the movie - Richard Gutierrez and Dingdong Dantes.
“Pag-aawayan nila ako,” he said. “Puro pa-sweet lang, and ipu-push ko ‘yung yakap.”
As for his expectations in the box office, Vice said he’s not at all pressured - he just wants to make the best movie he can.
“I will be very happy [if malakas ang kita]. Diyos na ang magde-decide nun, kung ano ang ibibigay niya, and I claim na sobrang ganda ng ibibigay niyang resulta,” he said.
“Fantastica” is directed by Barry Gonzalez, and also stars Maymay Entrata, Edward Barber, Loisa Andalio, Ronnie Alonte, Kisses Delavin, and Donny Pangilinan, among others.
