4 of the most memorable LGBT characters in PH cinema!

Love knows no bounds, even on the big screen. In celebration of the past Pride Month, we put the spotlight on the most memorable LGBT characters from our favorite Star Cinema movies. Get your rainbow flags ready!

1. "In My Life" (2009)

This 2009 film gave us Mark and Noel, played by Luis Manzano and John Lloyd Cruz respectively, a gay couple living in New York City whose otherwise peaceful relationship is taken over by Mark's mother Shirley, portrayed by Vilma Santos, and of course, his tragic struggle with cancer.

2. "Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy" (2013)

Directed by the legendary Wenn Deramas, this 2013 stretched comedian Vice Ganda's acting chops as he played four characters (two of which are LGBT), Girlie, Peter, Mark, and Panying with seamless perfection.

3. Four Sisters and a Wedding (2013)

Who can forget Toti Marie, the iconic butch scene-stealer from this 2013 classic? Played by Cecil Paz, Toti Marie has worked alongside his mother to serve the Salazars forever and is treated like family themselves.

4. The Third Party (2016)

Love definitely won in this 2016 blockbuster hit which starred Angel Locsin as Andi, who found herself (sort of) stuck in a new living situation with her ex Max, played by Sam Milby, and his new boyfriend, played by Zanjoe Marudo.
