The war between Kris Aquino and Mocha Uson seems to be coming to a close, or that's what it looks like from the former's corner.
In her interview with veteran showbiz reporter Cristy Fermin earlier today, June 7, the Queen of All Media said that she "could care less" about the blogger-turned-Presidential Communications Assistant Secretary after her feelings were acknowledged by President Rodrigo Duterte himself. The President had formally extended his apologies after Mocha compared his South Korea kissing controversy with that of Kris' late father, Senator and national hero Ninoy Aquino who was kissed by two women prior to his assassination in 1983 through his special assistant Christopher "Bong" Go.

However, Kris nonetheless took the time to address Mocha's latest swipe. In a post through her Facebook page, Mocha asked members of the press to "leave her alone" as she wasn't planning to seek elective office. Making mention of "'yung isa", she seemed to be referencing the possibility of Kris running for Senate.
Kris dismissed the entire notion and named two specific reasons why she couldn't possibly be the next Aquino to hold a seat in the political sphere. Both involved her late mother, the former President Cory Aquino.

She revealed, "Hindi po ako pwede mag-Senado because sinabi ng Mom ko sa akin, 'Krissy, you don't belong.' Sabi ko 'why?', sabi niya, 'because you're used to being the star, you cannot share the stage with 23 others.' Ang mangyayari daw doon, 23 others will just hate you every single day of their lives."
She continued, "[My mom made me promise], 'if you will ever decide to go into politics, that will be when you are no longer interested in branded things. 'Pag ayaw mo na ng anything luxurious'."

As for her reason in "ending" her rift with Mocha, Kris said:
"I really don't want to give her any more of my fame...'yung akin lang is napagsabihan ako na ganito 'yun and this is being said with no disrespect whatsoever, because I am just stating a fact...this is now my opinion. Friends na kami ni President Duterte. Okay na. With her, I don't care."
"She can say anything and everything."
