#GirlBoss! Julia is done comparing herself to others

Julia Barretto is on the cover of MEGA Magazine's June cover, and however gorgeous and otherworldly she may look, it's her smart, sharp eyes that has us mesmerized.

And those eyes are focused on the prize: becoming an icon like the legendary bearers of her famous last name, success - but achieved at her own pace. According to Julia, timing is something that she's now learned to respect. In her cover story, the actress revealed that she's learned to appreciate her own rise to fame instead of comparing herself and her career to her contemporaries.

“You should simply work hard," she explained, "You will never achieve anything from comparing your pace to that of others because timing is different for everyone...it took me a while to be able to achieve a couple of goals when I was starting out."

She continued, "But the more you achieve the goals you set for yourself, the longer your list gets because these are dreams you never thought you would reach. It means you can do more.”

Julia, who started taking on acting roles as a child, starred in a string of blockbuster hits starting with 2016's "Vince and Kath and James", and followed up by 2017's "Love You to the Stars and Back" and "Unexpectedly Yours". She will star in the upcoming romantic-comedy "I Love You, Hater" alongside her on-screen partner Joshua Garcia and Queen of All Media Kris Aquino.
