It seems as though former flames Richard Gomez and Sharon Cuneta are ready to make their big-screen comeback, and it all started with a "Somewhere Down The Road" singing session.
Film producer and talent manager Noel Ferrer brought major "Minsan, Minahal Kita" throwback vibes when he attended Pinya Festival 2018 in Ormoc City — which is currently being run by Richard, who serves as mayor, and his wife Congresswoman Lucy Torres — and sang the movie's theme song with its leading man.
ORMOC has truly become the City of Beautiful People -with Mayor Richard Gomez and Congresswoman Lucy Torres-Gomez running it. First time I was there, we were campaigning for Goma for Mayor (along with Martin Nievera, Ogie Alcasid, Dingdong Dantes, Willie Revillame and others). It was during those trying times when friendship really mattered. This weekend, friendships are renewed (in our hearts, they are assured of a special spot anyway). Thank you to the people who made our visit very memorable - Our PEP Troika @jerryolea & Gorgy Rula (as represented by @shalala0121 ), @reginetolentino & @douglasnierraspowerdance plus my two artists who selflessly heeded the call to help in this year’s festivities @joross_gamboa & @ea_guzman . Thank you @songbirdnelson & @sergiecat_dolls for the fast coordination and of course to Goma, @lucytgomez & @gomezjuliana whose love and goodness never wavered. Friends, experience the PIñA Festival next time. You’ll be proud of what the Ormocanons have become. Fiesta or not, we will always come back for the Gomezes. Again, thank you and enjoy your Fiesta Season! (More highlights and sidelights on PEP ALERT - and truly, our next threads are sooooo compelling!!!) #familyfriendsforever❤️ #HappyFiesta #Ormoc
Sharon was quick to react in the comments section, poking fun at the men's singing voices and writing a very curious response that had everyone guessing.
"Nako, ayoko i-announce [ang] next movie ko muna. Daming taksil sa inyo mga ineng baka magsabunutan kayo," she said.
Hmmm? Parang may something?
And the pa-hopeful train doesn't end there. A few hours later, the Megastar shared two videos: one from Richard, addressed to Noel and heavily hinting at a very possible ShaGoms reunion, and the other from Lucy, who is all for it.
"I hope that one day, you and Richard can really make a movie again soon because you were oh so magical together," Lucy told Sharon in the video.
Richard and Sharon starred in four movies together "Minsan, Minahal Kita", "Kapantay ay Langit", "Kahit Wala Ka Na", and "Ngayon at Kailanman". If this reunion movie pans out, this might just be the "somewhere down the road" where their cinematic paths would cross again for a fifth movie. Ka-excite lang! Tell us what you think in the comments section down below!
The Megastar mounted a very successful showbiz comeback last year in "Unexpectedly Yours" which reunited her with another former flame, Robin Padilla. She is slated to team up with ABS-CBN Films, Star Cinema for another film this year.
