The film "Walwal" talks about the many, different problems millennials face. From gender identity, career uncertainties, to self-doubt, the list just goes on.
Still a hot topic in today's generation is pre-marital sex, and this was addressed at the recently held "Walwal" Grand Media Launch where lead actors Elmo Magalona, Kiko Estrada, Donny Pangilinan, and Jerome Ponce shared their two cents on.
These are their respective takes on pre-marital sex:
"Naaalala ko sinabi sa'kin ng daddy ko dati na ikandado mo 'yung zipper mo. Eksena 'yun sa movie pero kasi 'di ba my mom (Chesca Diaz) also plays my mom in the movie. Sinabi niya rin 'yun talaga sa'kin dati," Kiko shared.
Donny and Elmo shared Kiko's sentiments, revealing that they also talked about it with their respective families, but only when they reached legal age.
"Actually andito po 'yung mommy (Maricel Laxa-Pangilinan) ko so I think with the way they brought us up, hindi na kailangang tanungin sila about that. I think parang andun na sa family namin eh. We already know. I think it's already in our house rules," Donny related.
"Sa'kin it's the same rin kasi my parents naman never really... hindi nila sini-serious talk 'yung ganun. Parang casually lang dumating kami sa point ng age namin, parang rightful age na, when I turned 18 sinabi lang sa'kin na 'Okay, you always use this.' Ganyan lang," Elmo revealed on his part.
Jerome's case is different. They do not talk about pre-marital sex at home, but he gained knowledge about it from school.
"'Di ko nakakausap si Papa ng ganun eh. Si Papa kasi ano siya eh, wala siyang advice sa'kin na ganun ever, sa experience," the 23-year-old Kapamilya actor said.
"Ako naman kasi hindi ko kailangan magtanong kasi hindi ko pinapasok 'yung mga ganung bagay. I mean 'yung alamin, pag-aralan. When it comes, it comes pero safety syempre. Educated naman tayo," he added.

The ultimate barkada movie is centered on a group of four friends – Dondi (Elmo), Intoy (Jerome), Marco (Kiko), and Bobby (Donny), who have forged their unbreakable friendship in high school and are now sophomores in college.
Dondi, Intoy, Marco, and Bobby are bound together by the wealth of their past experiences and their natural love for the good times.
The boys share a kinship so close to each other that they will do anything to protect each other as they traverse the most critical period of their adulthood.
Unbeknownst to them is that sophomore year in college is a pivotal phase in their lives as each of them will be confronted with a major dilemma that would determine their sense of direction for the rest of their lives.
Portraying the boy’s love interests are Kisses Delavin (Ruby), Devon Seron (Trina), Jane De Leon (Carla), and Sofia Senoron (Shelby).
Together, they will give “walwal” a whole new meaning as they define it as means to show each other unconditional support as they face their problems and struggles in life. That at the end of the day, they have each other’s back – kapag WALang-WALa na sila sa buhay, karamay nila ang isa’t-isa.
