Former De La Salle University player Jeron Teng says his PBA comeback is still "uncertain" as he continues his recovery from multiple the "multiple stabs wounds and deep lacerations" he sustained in a bar fight last June 3 in Bonifacio Global City.

The Alaska Aces rookie, who has been allowed to leave the hospital but is still being "closely monitored by doctors", broke the news in a Twitter thread last June 8. He also expressed his deep gratitude for everyone who showed him support after the incident, writing:
Jeron, who had been stabbed thrice in the back and once by his best, had been attacked alongside his former La Salle teammates, Thomas Torres and Elasto Painter Norbert Torres, both of whom also sustained stab wounds.
The suspects, two adult men in their 40's who have been identified as Edmar Lacanlale and Williard Basili, are facing charges of frustrated homicide.
