90s actress-comedienne Whitney Tyson is making a television comeback on the crime-drama teleserye "FPJ's Ang Probinsiyano" topbilled by Coco Martin.
In a recent interview with "Rated K," Whitney shared that when she was no longer getting projects in showbiz, life has been difficult for her and her mother. They have experienced living under a bridge, moving into a resettlement area, and being discriminated by neighbors for their skin color.
To earn money, she would go on to host in various town fiestas. If there was no hosting gig, then she would work at a videoke bar in Muntinlupa.
When asked for a wish, Whitney said, "Simple lang. Tanggapin muli ako ng producer kahit anong istasyon, bigyan ako ng trabaho."
Whitney was part of the television series "Goin' Bananas," "Mara Clara," and "Richard Loves Lucy". She was also a cast member in the Star Cinema comedy film "Otso-Otso Pamela-Mela-Wan".
Now, Whitney's wish has been granted, as she is now part of "FPJ's Ang Probinsiyano".
In a post by Angeline Quinto yesterday, June 9, she said that the Primetime King helped Whitney make the comeback. Angeline also made a guest appearance in "FPJ's Ang Probinsiyano" last year.
Wow! Judy Ann, bigatin ang makakasama sa teleserye comeback!
Angeline wrote, "Sabi ko sa sarili ko, dapat mabigyan ulit siya [Whitney] ng pagkakataon na makapagpasaya ng mas maraming tao.. Maraming salamat Coco, napakarami mong natutulungan. Mabuhay ka."
In the video teaser posted by Dreamscape (@dreamscapeph) also yesterday, Whitney was revealed as a new character named Elizabeth.
