Jessy, bumwelta sa haters: Mag-exercise na lang imbes na mam-bash

Jessy Mendiola will not allow anybody to rain on her parade.

In a series of now-deleted Instagram Stories, the actress spoke directly to the group of people who couldn’t “accept” her 27-pound weight loss and have been sending hate her way, telling them to “exercise” in order to spike their endorphins, also known as the Happiness Hormone.

“Noong malaman ako, dami niyo sinasabi. Ngayon na pumayat ako, dami niyo din sinasabi. Proud ako maka-lose ng 27 lbs, ok lang? Masama ba? Sa mga nega diyan, kalma kayo. Exercise din kayo para sumaya naman kayo. Kailangan niyo ng endorphins eh,” she wrote today, June 1.

Jessy, who has been rather vocal about her weight loss journey, hopes to serve as an inspiration for other people struggling with body image.

She said, “I lost a bit of weight because I feel beautiful when I feel healthy. I'm more active and energized now compared before, I'm actually at my happiest too. Hope I could inspire people even just a little.”

“(By the way) I worked hard for this. Hirap kaya magpakahealthy. 'Yun lamang. End of rant.”
