Diego Loyzaga: 'Bad Boy' of Philippine Social Media?

Diego Loyzaga. He is handsome, talented, and he's got a sharp tongue that will cut you if you're not careful. Never one to let people boss him around or spread false rumors, Diego is one of the few people in the industry who speaks his mind in social media. He lashes out to protect himself and the people he loves, and it's easy to say that he's the country's new "bad boy" but if you look at the bigger picture, Diego is just a man who knows himself and who refuses to take anyone’s bull.

At the end of the day, he’s just speaking his truth and here are receipts from his recent posts:

1. Diego was the first to break the news that his former on-screen leading lady Sofia Andres is actually dating someone else.

When people started coming for Diego’s relationship with best friend Chelsea Ronquillo, making an issue out of their vacation photos, he lashed out. On top of spilling the beans about Sofia’s new man, he also revealed that SofiEgo is no longer a love team.

Netizens accused Diego of sneaking into Boracay, which as of writing is on a government-mandated six-month shutdown, after he had posted throwback photos of himself and his friends living it up on the island.

Diego, who has been involved in Boracay clean-up programs with the help of his mother Teresa Loyzaga since he was young, took offense. And scalps.

3. Diego also isn’t shy from speaking his mind with his mother.

As reports of corruption regarding his father, former Tourism Promotions Board chief Cesar Montano flood in, Diego gave his mom Teresa a piece of advice about netizens who are sharks looking desperately for blood in the water: to ignore them.
