Kiefer Ravena has been slapped with an 18-month suspension by the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) after testing positive for three substances from the World Anti-Doping Agency list of prohibited substances.
The NLEX Road Warriors rookie confirmed the test results in a press conference today, May 28, but insisted that he took the substances "unknowingly" through a pre-workout drink.
According to a report by the Philippine Star, the former Ateneo Blue Eagles player was tested during the FIBA World Cup Asian qualifiers last February 25.
Kiefer's will be suspended from February 25, 2018 to August 24, 2019.
