In an industry where artists easily come and go, OPM legend Hajji Alejandro is just one of the few icons whose music have really stayed with people through the years – even after his career that already spans over four decades.
And now that he’s about to celebrate his 45th year in the music industry, he’s set to treat his fans in an anniversary concert as a way of giving thanks to everyone who has been with him in his journey.
Dubbed as “Hajji: Ako at ang Aking Musika 45 Taon”, Hajji’s concert will be composed mainly of his timeless hits including “Nakapagtataka,” “Panakip Butas,” and “May Minamahal” that will surely relive the greatest moments from the 70s and 80s. Joining him in his special night are his fellow music artists Marco Sison, Rey Valera, Celeste Legaspi, and daughter Rachel Alejandro who are very close to his heart.
One of the concert producers from Lucky Koi 7 spilled how the production numbers would be definitely one for the books.
“Sigurado ‘yung kanilang duet, 'yung mga production numbers nila is something to look for; it is actually something to die for,” she shared.
But unlike his previous concerts, this one will be truly special for him as it’ll be a story of his 45-year musical journey, hence the concert title.
“’Yung mga kwento behind those songs, I think ‘yun ang magandang makikita nila dito sa [concert]. You still have the hit songs there, and you will have on top of it a brand new way, a presentation, and at the same time a story behind those songs,” he said.
Given that he’s already a great singer, he teased about something that he doesn’t usually offer in his shows.
“Sana surprise eto pero kung hindi niyo naitatanong, hindi lang ako sa pag-awit mahilig; mahilig din akong sumayaw," he jokingly shared.
Now that’s something we know you can’t wait to witness on stage!
Getting pretty hyped up? Make sure to not miss this one-of-a-kind night and celebrate with the one and only Hajji Alejandro on June 23 at The Theatre at Solaire.
