Diego Loyzaga is sick of the drama.
The young actor took to Twitter early this morning, May 20, to express his disappointment over the backlash he's received for posting what he claimed were throwback photos of himself and his buddies in Boracay on Instagram.
Netizens, who wrongly assumed the photos were taken recently, accused Diego of "sneaking" into the island, which has been shut down for a 6-month clean up, by flexing his privilege, being the son of Tourism Promotions Board chief Cesar Montano.
He clapped back, writing, "Post a photo with another woman, issue. Post a photo of a throwback, issue. Lahat issue at pinaghuhusgan."
The actor pressed that he meant "no disrespect to Boracay, the people living there and its current state" by posting the photos. He also pointed out that his mother Teresa Loyzaga, along with her entire brood, has been involved in "clean-up projects in Boracay" since he was a child.
Diego last starred in the television drama "Pusong Ligaw" and was among the leads of the 2017 horror flick "Bloody Crayons".
