Kristel de Catalina might be on top right now, but that doesn't mean her feet aren't firmly planted on the ground.
The spiral pole dancer, who bagged the top prize at the reality talent show "Pilipinas Got Talent", humbly revealed in an interview in "Tonight With Boy Abunda" yesterday, May 1, that she still can't believe her luck winning against Julius Obrero and Rhea Marquez, who finished in second place and Joven Olvido, who finished third.
"At the back of my mind, ibang tao po 'yung iniisip kong [mananalo]. Parang binubulong ko na sa utak ko 'yung mga pangalan [noong ibang contestants] kasi ayaw ko mag-expect. Siguro it's my way na rin para hindi ako malungkot kung sakaling hindi ako 'yung [manalo]," the single mother shared.
As for the overwhelming support she received from "PGT" judge Vice Ganda, who was very vocal in his campaign to see her as Grand Winner, Kristel remains grateful.
"Actually nabasa ko lang po kailan lang 'yung tweet niya na kina-campaign niya ako, and I'm so thankful po."
She pressed, "Hindi po ako makapaniwala."
Congratulations once again, Kristel! <3
