Anne Curtis is doing her part in bringing the war-torn city of Marawi back on its feet.
The actress-host, who partnered up with UNICEF Philippines during the London Marathon for her philanthropic efforts, has raised upwards of 500,000php in donations for the welfare of Marawi's youth population after the city's liberation from the Maute terrorist group October of last year.
As promised, Anne will match the amount cent for cent, bringing the total number of donations to 1,014,498php.
Anne shared the wonderful news on her Instagram yesterday, May 1.
She enthused, "The aftermath of the war has greatly affected their lives. Their families have been displaced, some don’t have access to basic social needs such as education and health care. Albeit, this may be a small amount compared to what needs to be done but as I say, any help can go a long way."
Anne also took the time to thank every single person who donated for the cause, writing, "My sincere gratitude to all of you! Till the next one? THANK YOU a million times."
Anne is a mainstay in the noontime program "It's Showtime!".
