Amy Schumer has scored her very first Tony Award nomination!
The comic-actress is up Best Actress for her performance in Steve Martin's Broadway comedy "Meteor Shower". Although "grateful and proud as hell" for the nod, she's not convinced she'll have a "shot at winning" against fellow nominees Glenda Jackson, Condola Rashad, and Lauren Ridloff.
"I’ve dreamt about being on Broadway since I was a little idiot and man it delivered," Amy wrote in an Instagram post last night, May 2.
"The Broadway community made me feel welcome and I think it’s because they know how much love and respect I have for their work. Seeing theater is one of the greatest joys of my life," she continued.
As for her big-screen ventures, Amy's newest comedy "I Feel Pretty, which tells a story of a regular woman who wakes up from a SoulCycle injury thinking she looks like a supermodel, is now showing in Philippine cinemas.
