Ellen Adarna has been slapped with a child abuse, cybercrime, and libel lawsuit by Myra Abo Santos, the mother of Eleila Santos, the 17-year-old the actress accused of being a "paparazzi" in a string of Instagram stories last May 4.

According to a report by Rappler, Mrs. Santos filed the case yesterday, May 15, at the Pasig City prosecutor's office. The charges came at exactly 8 days after Mrs. Santos' shared an open letter on Facebook where she threatened to bring suit to the actress if she didn't issue a public apology within a week. None came.

The suit states that Ellen was in violation of the Special Protection of Children against Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination Act, as well as the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.
Following Ellen's accusations on Instagram, Eleila had defended herself in a Twitter thread, writing, "I don't even know who Ellen Adarna is."
Ellen, on the other hand, has yet to make a statement regarding the issue ever since her string of Instagram stories, where she appeared upset over the invasion of her privacy.
