The highly-anticipated Derek Ramsay-Paulo Avelino-Bea Alonzo drama vehicle "Kasal," Star Cinema's 25th anniversary initial offering, had a successful Grand Premiere last night, May 15, at SM Megamall Cinema 7.
Director Ruel S. Bayani, the lead stars, and the cast members namely Cherie Gil, Ricky Davao, Christopher De Leon, Celeste Legaspi, JC Alcantara, Justine Pena, Divine Aucina, and Cris Villonco headed the procession of the grandiose "#BisperasNgKasal".
Kapamilya stars who graced the event were Divine Diva Zsa Zsa Padilla with her partner Conrad Onglao, "Araw Gabi" stars JM De Guzman and Barbie Imperial, BFFs Maja Salvador and Kakai Bautista, Mikko Raval, Ian Veneracion, Vivoree Esclito, Jane Oineza, Priscilla Meirelles, and Ysabel Ortega.
Derek's girlfriend Joanne Villablanca, Bb. Pilipinas Grand International 2016 Nicole Cordoves, and celebrity doctor Vicky Belo also graced the event.
ABS-CBN executives namely Star Magic head Johnny Manahan and Star Cinema managing director Olivia Lamasan and acclaimed directors Ted Boborol and Rory Quintos also showed their support to this big movie.
After watching the film, these people expressed their roller coaster of emotions through their congratulatory hugs and messages to the lead stars and director.

"Kasal" follows the story of Lia Marquez (Bea), a simple lass who is set to marry Cebu's most eligible bachelor, Philip Cordero (Paulo), who is currently running to clinch the mayoral position after his father's term ends.
However, things get complicated when Lia's ex-boyfriend, Wado dela Costa (Derek), returns to work for them in a project that will help Philip win the elections.
Inevitably, feelings resurface and doubts arise.
As we get closer to the wedding day, Lia becomes unsure if she is choosing the right man to marry, torn between the man from her past and the man she's building a future with.
