"I Feel Pretty" might just be the key to unlocking your inner confidence.
Amy Schumer, who stars in the upcoming comedy, sat down with journalist Katie Couric on her podcast last month and called "I Feel Pretty" a film that will "empower women".
"It's really fun and funny and relatable and there's a really sweet message," she said.
She continued, "It's about my character Renee, she doesn't have particularly good self-esteem and just understands that people judge you based on how you look. We're trying to move away from that but that's the situation and she just kind of longs to have a better job, to go for these guys. She just doesn't have the confidence."
In the film, Renee will wake up from a bad fall believing she is suddenly the most beautiful and capable woman on the planet. With this newfound confidence, she is empowered to live her life fearlessly and flawlessly. She still looks like herself, but with the confidence of somebody "undeniably pretty".
"All of a sudden I see myself as an absolute supermodel," Amy added, "It's a whole new person."
