KZ Tandingan’s journey in the Chinese competition “Singer 2018” has now come to an end.
KZ performed in the show’s breakout round yesterday, April 6, for a chance to win a spot in the final round.
But even though she didn’t make it through, the “X Factor Philippines” champion still had the time of her life as she sang a Mandarin mix of Freddie Aguilar’s “Anak,” which has been a long time dream for her.
In a previous interview with PUSH, KZ explained why she wants to perform it in front of a Chinese audience.
“Aside from it’s one of the most beautiful OPM ever written, sobrang sikat din kasi siya sa China so kung kakantahin ko man siya lalo nilang maiintindihan kasi alam nila ang kanta,” she said. “Kumbaga nagkaroon ng connection ang ibang lahi sa kanta ng mga Pinoy.
KZ joined “Singer 2018” last February 9 and got eliminated after five weeks in the competition.
