Basketball players have a way of bringing out the ultimate fan girls in everyone, sports lover or not.
It could be their impressive ~skillz,~ their super tall and muscular frames (who doesn’t love a good height difference, amirite?), or their simply rugged yet boyish looks, but whatever it is, they’ve got The Secret to making girls swoon.
The poster boy who holds all these qualities would probably have to be Ricci Rivero, De La Salle University’s resident UAAP hottie AND star player.
Here’s why everyone’s crushing on him like crazy:
1. He’s a force to be reckoned with on court
Ricci is an all-around fantastic player: he can shoot from waaaaay beyond the arc, can draw points in the paint, has a crazy long hang time (it looks like he’s flying!), and plays pretty mean defense. His talent obviously paid off because he was part of the UAAP Mythical Five this season!
The best part? He’s ONLY on his second playing year, which means we’ll be seeing more of him in the next three!
2. He has a great sense of humor
Like most athletes, Ricci doesn’t take himself too seriously, and instead finds the fun in everything… including his post-dentist swollen face!
He also constantly horses around with his brother Prince (also a basketball player) before and after games.
3. He is such a cutie!
Ricci has a sweet baby face paired with a wonderfully ripped physique. The result? HOARDS of fan girls screaming his name. (Yup, it’s no joke: he’s the most mentioned UAAP player this season on Twitter!)
