Complicated ba kamo? 'Kasal' lead stars, may patikim sa kanilang mga karakter
Derek Ramsay, Paulo Avelino, and Bea Alonzo got together last week for the promotional shoot of their highly-anticipated film "Kasal".

At the sidelines of the photo shoot, these Kapamilya stars talked about their roles and how these are connected to one another.

"I'm playing Philip Cordero, isa siyang adolescent na lumaki sa isang political family," Paulo said.

"Ang pinagkaiba nito sa mga nagawa ko na dati ay it's not your typical love story because it talks so many stuff about your relationship and even beyond that," he added.

Derek, on the other hand, plays the past and childhood lover of Bea.

"The name of my character is Wado. The childhood love of Bea's character, Lia. We were madly in love with each other," Derek related.

He went on to share, "I left to go work abroad and I kinda made a mistake. I get somebody pregnant, that caused our separation. But with that said, I never stopped loving her and I found out that she had moved on with her life, she's getting married with Philip, played by Paulo.

"I came back successful, a made man, hoping to stop them from getting married. I kinda go on the dark side because of my desperation and the love that I had for her."

Bea's character is Derek and Paulo's common denominator in the film.

"Isa akong small town teacher na mai-in love sa isang prince ng Cebu, who is Paulo," Bea shared. "But may darating na past love, pero you can say na greatest love ko si Derek dito, tapos mashe-shake ''yung relationship."

"Siguro 'yung magiging question ng pelikula dito would be gaano ka-importante ba 'yung tiwala sa isang relasyon," Bea said when asked about the movie's takeaway.

"Gaano mo ba kakilala 'yung taong papakasalan mo? At handa ka bang tanggapin kung sino siya at kung anuman ang darkest secrets niya?" she added.

"Kasal," directed by Ruel S. Bayani, will be out in cinemas starting May 16!
