Amy Schumer made headlines earlier this year when she married chef Chris Fischer after only a few months of dating, and now she's saying taking on the role of Renee in her new body-positive comedy "I Feel Pretty" was instrumental in making her marriage-ready.
In a recent interview with CNN, the actress-comedian revealed that she never thought being someone's missus was in the cards for her.
She said, "I never planned on getting married, it's just that I found a really great partner. We just support each other and lift each other up. And he was just the funniest, kindest person, who was also a chef. He's the absolute best."
According to Amy, she first began dating Chris just after "I Feel Pretty" wrapped.
"It was the perfect time. I was feeling great about myself. I met him after we were done filming and I just felt really empowered. I loved myself, I was ready to love somebody. And it's really nice to have somebody in my corner, supporting me," she enthused.
"I Feel Pretty", which tells a story of a regular woman who wakes up from a SoulCycle injury thinking she looks like a supermodel, will hit Philippine theaters this May 2.
