“Empowered women empower women,” and the saying couldn’t be truer for Sharon Cuneta and Zsa Zsa Padilla.
From their first meeting in 1983 up to now, they have remained good, solid friends who support each other and nothing could ever change that.
On her Instagram account last night, April 22, the Divine Diva shared how her friendship with the Megastar began.
“I met Sharon a day before I had my first major concert in Araneta Coliseum in September of 1983… She came in with two Cabbage Patch Dolls and she graciously handed me one - I was only 19 and she was 17! I was surprised by how warm and friendly she was!” she wrote. “From that day on, we started a long and lasting friendship bonded over our love for music, movies, and food!”
Zsa Zsa continued to thank Sharon for their 34-year long friendship and all their special moments together.
“Those were some of the best years of my life. Thanks for all the love and for your continuous support,” she said. “Love you, Sharon!”
In the comments, Sharon related how Zsa Zsa is one of her truest friends.
“You are a true, loyal, dependable friend. Tried and tested. I would entrust my life to you! I miss you but am so happy we talk more again whenever we can nowadays. Still my same Zsa Zsa - always ready with advice and/or a warm hug. I love you with all my heart!” she said.
The two will reunite on stage on Zsa Zsa’s 35th anniversary concert on May 11.
