Kim, abot-langit ang saya sa natanggap na Gold Record award

Kim Chiu's album "Touch of Your Love" has been given the Gold Record Award!

Star Music audio and content head Jonathan Manalo handed the Gold Record Award to the Chinita Princess yesterday, April 15, on the musical-variety show "ASAP" where Kim is also a host.

She will be celebrating her 28th birthday this April 19, and her upcoming horror-comedy movie "DOTGA: Da One That Ghost Away" will open in cinemas April 18. For all these work opportunities and recognition, Kim is overwhelmed.

Yesterday, she dedicated a post for the people who helped her in her music career. "BIRTH month it is!!! Thank you Star Music (@starmusicph) family, sir Roxy Liquigan, sir Jonathan Manalo, sir Rox Santos, for all the trust and to all the composers in my album, salamat!!!"

She also thanked everyone who believed in her and supported her album.

"Thank you to all my solid supporters for being with me, for believing in me, for always supporting me in everything I do! Sobra po akong nagpapasalamat sa lahat ng pagmamahal at oras na binibigay nyo po para sakin! Sa lahat po ng bumili ng album ko, sa lahat ng pumunta sa album tour, sa lahat ng nakinig ng music ko thank you so much!!! Papa God, maraming salamat po! #OkayNaAko #ChinitaPrincessTouchOfYourLove #GratefulEveryday," she wrote.

Kim released "Touch of Your Love" last September. Its first single was the feel-good track "Okay Na Ako."

Meanwhile, you can catch Kim's horror and comedy antics in "DOTGA"!

"DOTGA" starts with the story of paranormal expert Carmel Monseratt (Kim Chiu). Wanting to save the house of her beloved grandmother from being sequestered, Carmel and her “bebest” best friend Jerald “Jeje” Zee-Yan (Ryan Bang) have decided to form a squad of ghost busters with their misfits buddies Bagang (Pepe Herrera), Ponzi (Lassy Marquez), and Basha (Moi Bien) in order to meet both ends.

One day, when they no longer have customers due to their modus going viral, Carmel meets a rich architect and dashing eligible bachelor Jack Colmenares (Enzo Pineda) who wants her and her squad to exorcize his house of all the ghosts inside it – real malevolent ghosts! – in exchange for a hefty amount of money.

Despite the fear, Carmel and Jeje together with their squad accept the job offer as their last act. Little do they know this will lead to all of them being entrapped inside Jack’s house with extremely pesky and spiteful ghosts, screaming and running for their lives, and with Carmel ultimately facing the horror of the truth long hidden from her.

"DOTGA" is directed by Tony Y. Reyes. Catch it in cinemas April 18!
