'Bagani' newcomer reveals support she gets from Enrique, Aiko + more

A member of the Star Magic Circle 2018, Charlie Dizon landed a big project in the primetime fantaserye “Bagani” right after her launch last March.

The young actress revealed at the show’s digital conference yesterday, April 12, that she was called for a go-see for her character Marikit before she was officially launched as a Star Magic talent.

Even with the workshops, Charlie admitted she had a hard time when she started taping.

Tapos ‘yung mga kasamahan ko po, sobrang tinulungan po ako sa character ko, lalo na si Kuya Thou (Reyes) at si Kuya Waks (Kiray),” she said, adding that she’s also thankful for the help of the show's directors, Lester Pimentel and Richard Arellano, and others who help her every day on set.

She shared that her co-star Aiko Melendez, who plays Matadora, was also very helpful, particularly on her first day, sharing: “Sobrang kabang-kaba ako sa eksena namin, tapos niyakap niya (Aiko) ‘ko kasi nga kinakabahan talaga ako. So parang sabi niya, ‘’Wag kang kabahan.

The 22-year-old added that Enrique Gil, whom she worked with on the 2017 film “Seven Sundays,” also guides her when needed.

“Tinutulungan din po niya ‘ko sa mga eksena bilang ako ‘yung baguhan talaga and alam niya kung gaano ako kakaba lagi,” she said.
