Ryan Bang gets an offer for a Korean variety show!

Comedian-host Ryan Bang has revealed his feelings for his first starring movie role in "DOTGA: Da One That Ghost Away". He also revealed a career offer he received from a network in his home country, South Korea!

In the grand media launch of "DOTGA" today, April 12, Ryan said, "Overwhelmed po talaga [ako na part ako ng 'DOTGA']. Hindi ko akalain na ganito mangyari sa buhay ko."

As Kim Chiu's leading man in the horror-comedy flick, Ryan admitted that there were times that he and Kim get carried away, to the point that he ends up getting slapped in some scenes! But Ryan took it lightly, saying, "Go na ako kasi nasampal na, nangyari na eh."

Ryan, who is also a host on ABS-CBN noontime variety program "It's Showtime," also shared that he got an offer from SBS, a network station in South Korea.

"'Yung malaking offer sa akin ng Korea, 'yung SBS, isang variety show, 'di ko tinanggap, nagsisi akong kaunti eh," he shared.

"Sayang, dapat kinuha ko pala. Pero hindi na ako nagsisi dahil dito sa pelikula ['DOTGA'], kasi ganito pala ang nangyari, leading man pa ni Kim Chiu kaya sobrang masaya po ako," he continued.

Ryan furthered that the offer is still there, but he could not commit as a regular member. "May offer naman sa akin pero hindi ko muna tinatanggap na regular show, regular host. Guest-guest lang po muna ako ngayon sa Korea."

Meanwhile, catch Ryan in "DOTGA" this summer!

"DOTGA" starts with the story of paranormal expert Carmel Monseratt (Kim Chiu). Wanting to save the house of her beloved grandmother from being sequestered, Carmel and her “bebest” best friend Jerald “Jeje” Zee-Yan (Ryan Bang) have decided to form a squad of ghost busters with their misfits buddies Bagang (Pepe Herrera), Ponzi (Lassy Marquez), and Basha (Moi Bien) in order to meet both ends.

One day, when they no longer have customers due to their modus going viral, Carmel meets a rich architect and dashing eligible bachelor Jack Colmenares (Enzo Pineda) who wants her and her squad to exorcize his house of all the ghosts inside it – real malevolent ghosts! – in exchange for a hefty amount of money.

Despite the fear, Carmel and Jeje together with their squad accept the job offer as their last act. Little do they know this will lead to all of them being entrapped inside Jack’s house with extremely pesky and spiteful ghosts, screaming and running for their lives, and with Carmel ultimately facing the horror of the truth long hidden from her.

"DOTGA" is directed by Tony Y. Reyes. Catch it in cinemas April 18!
