Being a Hugot Queen is no easy job.
Sure, Angelica Panganiban can sit down and have an entire hugot-filled conversation without running out of things to say. But she also needs some time to gather her thoughts, to let her mind wander back to moments she has lived.
Just like that time she recited a spoken word poem at Moira dela Torre’s concert last February 17, which took her almost a week to write.
"Wala hinintay ko lang dumating [‘yung idea]. Parang five days ko yata siya ginawa,” she revealed in an exclusive interview with us.
But the “Ang Dalawang Mrs Reyes” doesn’t really do anything to get into the writing mood. It just comes. "Iba-iba. Minsan may music, minsan tahimik, minsan nasa restaurant lang ako. 'Di mo kasi talaga alam kung kailan siya dadating eh,” she said.
Angelica is the kind of writer who would rather work alone, although she still comes up to her friends when she needs some input.
"Mas nagwo-work siya alone. Tapos kapag kailangan ko na ng opinyon, then nilalapitan ko na 'yung mga taong gusto kong kausap,” said the Kapamilya star.
And if she would have to choose a favorite writing partner, she went straight for her gal pal Glaize de Castro.
"Kami talaga 'yung nagkakasundo pagdating sa mga salita, sa emotions, sa feelings,” she explained.
