Tanner gets a 'perfect' surprise!

You may know him as the Incredible Hunk or our very own Pinoy Superman, simply because he’s got the perfect look for it.

But make no mistake, Tanner Mata isn’t all muscle and brawn. He’s got a tender heart too, which was put on an emotional ride while watching “My Perfect You” on its exclusive premiere last March 13.

In an interview after the event, the “Pinoy Big Brother” alum opened up that the film really hit him hard. “The movie was amazing. I loved the movie. It captures you. It was an emotional roller coaster, for sure.”

He even described it as “shocking” and there was no doubt, as he revealed it actually awakened some feelings he didn’t know were still there!

“It made me feel emotions I haven’t felt in a long time. You’d feel stuff you definitely won’t imagine,” Tanner shared.

The former “La Luna Sangre” actor praised the blockbuster hit even further, saying that it’s unlike any movie he has seen in a while. He said, “It’s definitely a kind movie you have definitely have not seen in a long time. Just the whole time. The style of the movie is definitely something I haven’t seen before. It’s out of the ordinary.”

Tanner commended its director Cathy Garcia-Molina as well and, of course, lead stars Gerald Anderson and Pia Wurtzbach. “Great movie. It was definitely well-directed. Congratulations to Direk Cathy and everybody. Gerald and Pia. Performance was amazing. It’s funny. I don’t know how to explain it without giving it away. You gotta watch it.”

“My Perfect You” is the story of Burn (Gerald Anderson), a man who’s down in the dumps, and Abi (Pia Wurtzbach), the girl who helps him see the light again. Will they find the perfect love for them or will they have to face heartbreak again? Find out now in cinemas nationwide!

Also, watch out for Tanner in the upcoming horror-comedy “Da One That Ghost Away” with Kim Chiu, Ryan Bang, Maymay Entrata, Edward Barber, Lassy, Moi Bien, and Pepe Herrera this coming April 18.
