We know that they’re friends, but no one really knows just how close Vice Ganda and Daryl Ong really are.
Good thing the “Voice of the Philippines” Season 2 finalist finally told everyone about their friendship on Vice’s birthday special dubbed "YOLO-G" on “Gandang Gabi Vice” last night, March 25.
The singer confessed that he thought the Unkabogable Star was a snob, but of course, he proved himself wrong. 'Di ko alam kung mataray ka ba or what. Pero sobrang thank you kasi nabigyan ako ng chance na maging kaibigan mo,” he said.
Vice started sharing his love for Daryl’s songs and that changed everything.
From his first “GGV” interview, the two became acquaintances. But the “Ikaw Na Nga” revival hitmaker realized that Vice really is his friend when he got in trouble and Vice immediately showed his support.
He shared, “Last Christmas, naaksidente ako 'di ba? Pero that moment nakalimutan ko lahat 'yung tahi ko and all.
But what Daryl is most grateful for with this friendship is how it brought him closer to his own child. “Isa sa mga bagay na hindi ko makakalimutan, 'yun 'yung nabigyan ako ng chance makita 'yung anak ko na three years kong hindi nakita dahil sinama mo ko sa show mo sa Los Angeles,” he said.
