Ultimate Heartthrob Piolo Pascual is now part of the growing family of the ABS-CBN sitcom "Home Sweetie Home".
In a set visit held yesterday, March 13, for the family-oriented comedy show, Piolo said he is happy that he gets to do something lighter for a change.
"Nakaka-relax kasi it is a departure from the heaviness of the movie set or TV set na taping. I wouldn’t say it’s a walk in the park kasi siyempre meron ka pa ring ibinibigay na kailangan na emosyon. And when I came in, it’s really a family. So para ka lang nakisali sa isang pamilya na buung-buo tapos maganda 'yung samahan," he shared.
Piolo's last sitcom was "Bora," which also starred Diether Ocampo, Jericho Rosales, Bernard Palanca, Carlos Agassi, and more.
In "Home Sweetie Home," the 41-year-old actor gets to work again with his "Starting Over Again" and "Last Night" leading lady, Toni Gonzaga.
Also during the set visit, Toni shared how much she and Piolo have a special dynamic whenever they are together on set!
She said, "Si PJ (Piolo) naman, we go way back. Parang kahit na hindi kami magkita, magkasama, magkausap, 'pag nagkita kami niyan, may instant connection na kami niyan sa isa’t isa na kahit nga hindi kami nag-uusap sa set niyan eh. 'Pag nagkasama kami parang alam mo na 'yun, medyo gamay niyo na ‘yung isa’t isa. Memoryado mo na siya."
Toni also expressed her gratitude to Piolo for officially joining their show after having guested before. "Si PJ, nag-guest siya nung una [sa 'Home Sweetie Home']. Of course [now], we’re very thankful and grateful na he gave us his time and his schedule."
"Home Sweetie Home" airs Saturdays after "TV Patrol Weekend".
