Pia Wurtzbach is living her fairytale now, but she had to go through so much to get to where she is.
The beauty queen-actress shared her struggles during her Bloggers Conference last March 11, saying there were times she wanted to quit acting.
“Naiisip ko na baka hindi na worth it… kasi ‘yun (big break) ‘yung matagal ko na talagang tina-try tapos hindi ko talaga makuha… so there were moments where I thought baka hindi talaga siya para sa akin,” she said.
However, Pia admitted she couldn’t fully let go of showbiz because it’s what her mind keeps going back to.
“If I keep thinking about it, I can’t forget it, maybe it’s something meant for you to pursue. Parang love, ‘pag hindi mo matanggal ‘yung tao sa isip mo, may something. Ganun din sa career… I pursue what I can’t stop thinking about,” she said.
Pia even revealed that when she was first announced as the runner-up in Miss Universe 2015, she immediately thought about going back to ABS-CBN.
“It’s always in the back of my mind na babalik ako sa ABS,” she said.
Now that she’s finally achieved her dream, Pia related how thankful she is she didn’t quit all those times she failed before.
“I’m so glad I stuck with ABS and that I’m finally doing what I’ve wanted to do since I was a kid... I feel like everything’s coming to full circle, tama lang na hindi ako sumikat dati, tama na natalo ako sa Binibining Pilipinas, tapos nanalo ako sa Miss Universe… everything falls into place,” she said.
“My Perfect You” also stars Gerald Anderson. Directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina and produced by ABS-CBN Films, Star Cinema, it starts showing tomorrow, March 14.
