You take one good look and it’s nearly impossible not to have a crush on Erich Gonzales. It’s just too bad for anyone actually planning to go after her, because she’s got no time for romance now.
"Wala talaga tayong oras para diyan. Kung may time pa, I'll just rest na lang or workout or play badminton,” she said at the media conference of her upcoming show “The Blood Sisters”.
Not that she’s shutting guys down for the heck of it, no. She just wants to find happiness in other things for now.
“'Di naman kailangang romantically involved ka para maging happy ka. There's more to life than just being in a relationship because dapat 'yung happiness mo hindi nagde-depend sa ibang tao or sa love or sa isang lalaki,” said the Kapamilya star.
She added, “You can be happy on your own or create happiness. Don't get me wrong, it's nice naman na may magte-text sa'yo... pero hindi lang dapat dun 'yun. Marami pang ibang bagay bukod pa dun."
Erich has a lot on her plate now, projects left and right, and she’s happy this way while drawing inspiration from the very people that made her want to work hard and the fact that this is her dream job.
"I take this job seriously talaga, hindi pwede basta na lang. Maraming inspirations. 'Yung mga katrabaho, they're just as passionate as I am. 'Yung family ko, I am here for them naman talaga to be able to provide them anything they need, a comfortable life. So it's for them, they give inspiration. 'Pag 'yung mga panahon na parang hindi ko na kaya. Lahat 'yun,” she shared.
And if guys try their luck or friends try to set her up with anyone? “Friendship lang talaga ang mao-offer natin ngayon sa sobrang busy,” said Erich.
“Magtrabaho na lang po muna tayo. Dadating naman siguro 'yan. 'Yung mga ganyang bagay hindi naman dapat 'yan minamadali. Kailangang gamitin 'yung utak natin this time, dapat maging wise!" she explained.
Also, watch out for Erich in the upcoming film “The Significant Other” with Lovi Poe and Tom Rodriguez, out this February 21.
