It may seem glamorous and the coolest job in the world, but we think people don't realize how tough it really is to be an actor. There's the tight sched, never-ending press duties, and really one of the hardest parts about it is the switching personas on cue.
Now, do that three times daily for one TV show? Sounds a bit mad right? But leave it to Erich Gonzales to take on that challenge and go through it with ease.
The Kapamilya star is now playing triplets on the upcoming action-drama series "The Blood Sisters" and she said it may be one of the hardest things she's ever done.
"Grabe kailangan talaga ng focus dito dahil in one day sa isang eksena tatlo kayo. So draining talaga siya, but I'm not complaining. But I'm just being real, mahirap siya sobra. Medyo iba na 'to," she said at the show's media conference last Monday, February 5.
There are even scenes where the sisters need to be in the same room, but Erich is getting by with some help from her directors, co-actors, and even her looks for every character.
"'Yung hair, 'yung makeup, 'yung ayos nakakatulong din. 'Pag wala ka ng makeup, okay si Erica ka na. 'Pag super glammed up naman, si Carrie ka, 'yung doctor. Then si Agatha, curly hair. For example sa isang eksena tatlo kami, lahat ng camera dito muna, then back, iba-iba. So mabusisi talaga siya. Like trabaho kung trabaho," she revealed.
All three characters take a lot of effort, but one of them stood out, when Erich was asked about the most intense.
"'Yung tatlo mahirap kasi si Erica medyo palaban siya talaga. May mga stunts din siya dito and I made sure na hangga't kaya ko I told my director na ako 'yung gagawa. Lahat ako. So physically [challenging] din siya. With Carrie, kasi doctor siya so kailangan alam mo 'yung mga medical terms. With Agatha naman, siya 'yung pinaka-intense siguro. Feeling ko lahat ng eksena niya just grabe. Parang puputok na lahat ng ugat ko. Parang aatakihin ako sa puso," she said.
But she couldn't give an answer when the question who she relates to the most was raised, because according to her, everyone would be able to see themselves in all three of them.
"May Erica, Carrie, and Agatha naman po sa atin. Si Erica, taga-Davao. Bisaya ako. 'Yung salita, may Bisaya lines din dun, willing to do anything sa loved ones niya. Si Carrie, passionate with her craft. Si Agatha, may mga goals siya, go-getter siya. She'll take risks. Kung may gusto siya, gagawa siya ng paraan para makuha 'yun," said Erich.
"The Blood Sisters" will premiere on Primetime Bida right before "TV Patrol" this February 12.
Erich is also set to slay the big screen in the upcoming film "The Significant Other" with Lovi Poe and Tom Rodriguez out this February 21.
