Dina Bonnevie. Beautiful, strong, and fearless. It’s probably best not to mess with her, because she’s not the type that would stay in one corner and cry when wronged.
She is certainly a fighter, but apparently not everyone got the memo.
At the media conference of her upcoming film “The Significant Other” last Sunday, February 11, the veteran actress revealed that she’s gone close to many catfights in the past with women who dared to to steal her man.
But she decided against it and confronted them in the best way she knows, with class. "There were so many instances in my life where I could have had a catfight with somebody trying to be the significant other. But I believe I have so much class that I don't stoop down to their level."
She continued, "The worst na nagawa ko is alam kong nandoon 'yung isa having dinner with the other one and I just walked in. I said, 'Hi! Sorry I'm late for the date.'"
"Wala lang. Eksena, tapos umalis. Nagdi-dinner sila tapos nabalitaan ko. So bumili ako ng damit. Pumunta ako sa table. 'Sorry, I was late for the date.' Exit!” Dina said with a laugh.
When Dina met face to face with the woman, she insisted that she didn’t do nothing wrong. She merely just fell in love.
But Dina has the perfect response to that:
"Dati sinabihan ako, ‘I did nothing wrong. Nagmahal lang ako.’ Sabi ko, 'Don't make that an excuse. You know the guy is taken so don't give me that excuse. 'Nagmahal ako, wala akong ginawang mali'? Really? That's a lot of BS."
Starring Lovi Poe, Tom Rodriguez, and Erich Gonzales, “The Significant Other” follows the story of a rising fashion model (Erich) who catches up and becomes BFFs with her catwalk idol (Lovi). But all hell breaks lose when they realize that they are in love with the same man (Tom).
Directed by Joel Lamangan, the film is hitting cinemas this February 21!
