How Jodi and Iwa reached forgiveness
“Sana Dalawa Ang Puso” star Jodi Sta. Maria shared on the January 30 episode of “Magandang Buhay” how she and Iwa Moto began their friendship.

Iwa is the current partner of Pampi Lacson, Jodi’s ex-husband and father of her son Thirdy.

Jodi shared that she reached out after Iwa and Pampi’s daughter Mimi was born.

“I thought it would be a nice gesture to send a little something for them,” she said. “Dun na nag-start, hanggang sa later on, nagkaroon ng exchange ng messages and after that we planned on seeing each other over for merienda.”

The Daytime Queen explained that it was her desire to have a peaceful life that pushed her to reach out to Iwa, but considering their complicated history, neither of them expected they would be as close as they are now.

“Family na kami,” Jodi said. “‘Yun ang turingan naming sa isa’t isa. Hindi man ito ‘yung usual setup pero ito ‘yung aming little family.”

In the same episode, Momshies Jolina Magdangal, Karla Estrada, and Melai Cantiveros surprised the actress with a sweet message from Iwa.

She thanked Jodi for being a good friend and congratulated her on her 20th year in showbiz.

“Amor, thank you for being such a great friend. I'm happy to have you in my life. Thank you for the constant guidance. No matter what happens, you know that I am here for you. I love talking to you kahit madalas may mga tulala moments ka. I love how OC you are. Akala ng tao masyado kang seryoso, pero hindi nila alam baliw-baliw ka rin. Nami-miss ko na ang mga knock-knock jokes mo. You are a real friend and this world is a better place because you are here. Happy 20th showbiz anniversary sa'yo. Tara na mag-date na tayo, marami tayong pag-uusapan. I love you, Amor."

Catch Jodi in “Sana Dalawa Ang Puso” weekdays before “It’s Showtime.”
