"I am sorry."
These are Kathryn Bernardo's personal "three words to forever," which she admitted on "Tonight with Boy Abunda" yesterday, December 3. The actress shared that they're the most important words for her because she's guilty for quite a number of times by never acknowledging her mistakes to two of the most important people in her life: her mom Min Bernardo and boyfriend Daniel Padilla.
"Feeling (kasi) natin kapag nag-sorry tayo it's a sign of weakness. But for me it's a sign of strength. Natuto akong mag-sorry because of DJ," Kathryn said to the King of Talk.
She furthered, "Kay DJ hirap akong sabihin 'yan before. I'm sorry na late ko na nare-realize 'to, sorry dahil recently ko lang natutunan 'to kasi parati kaming nag-aaway because of that issue."
Thankful for her boyfriend's patience, the actress confessed that it was Daniel who taught her to realize her faults.
"Lumalaki 'yung mga maliliit na bagay kasi nga hindi ako nagso-sorry. Kasi hindi naman kasi pwede na magso-sorry ka for the sake of just saying sorry. Dapat mag-sorry ka and then promise mo na you won't do it again."
Kathryn also addressed her relationship with her mom, saying, "Siyempre meron kaming mga hindi pinagkakasunduan minsan. Ayaw niyang magkamali ka. Sinasabi ko kay mama na okay lang na magkamali kasi gusto kong matuto from that mistake."
Kathryn and Daniel starred in the 2018 blockbuster romance "The Hows of Us".
"Three Words to Forever" is now showing in 250 cinemas nationwide.
