2018 really has been a superb year for Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla.
They proved (yet again) that there’s nothing and no one quite like them in the industry, and it’s always awe-inspiring to look back at everything they’ve accomplished.
And so on Christmas Day today, we’re giving your blue hearts a very special gift - a rundown of the most memorable things KathNiel did this year.
1. They (finally!) admitted their relationship
It was like the world stopped spinning when DJ admitted what we already knew deep down - he and Kath have been in a relationship for more than five years!!! They’ve since become more open about their off-screen bonding, even talking about their wedding plans, and we just can’t get enough of them!
You can watch them talk about their relationship here:
2. They gave us the masterpiece that is “The Hows of Us”
The King and Queen of Hearts really gave the best performances of their lives when they brought to life Primo and George under the direction of legendary director Cathy Garcia-Molina. They pierced our hearts with their painfully relatable love story, and it definitely would be some time before we can truly recover from it. “The Hows of Us” was named Movie of the Year at the 2018. LionHeart TV Rawr Awards.
3. They soared in individual projects
Both Kathryn and Daniel shined bright as they took on a couple of solo projects following the success of “The Hows of Us.”
The actress starred in the heartwarming family film “Three Words to Forever” alongside Sharon Cuneta and Richard Gomez, while Daniel staged his fourth solo concert “D4: Daniel Padilla Back at the Araneta.”
Of course, they were both present to support each other’s endeavors.
4. They had the most kilig off-cam moments
From their beach vacations in Siargao and Amanpulo, to their post-show shenanigans in the US and Canada, these two love birds certainly proved that no other role can give us this much kilig than when they’re being themselves. Don’t we all wish to have a love like that?
It has been a great year for KathNiel, and we’re sure 2019 will be even better for them!
