2018 was a very big year for Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil. But then again, every single one is for this beautiful, talented pair.
As 2018 ends though, we look back on LizQuen's highest highs, from their careers to their personal lives. And this walk down memory lane begins in January, where LizQuen started the year right with a well-deserved tour through Europe, after London, they traveled to Spain and even stopped by Paris to celebrate Liza's birthday in the happiest place on Earth: Disneyland.

Upon their return to the Philippines, "Bagani" fever officially began.
The hit fantasy series marked LizQuen's return to the small screen after 2016's "Dolce Amore", and they completely, totally, and utterly dominated. The first trailer was released on February, a full month before it even aired on Primetime, but even then it was arguably one of the most-anticipated and most-talked about projects for 2018.
LizQuen said goodbye to their characters Lakas and Ganda on August 17, but it would be a sin if we didn't mention that "Bagani" was truly, truly iconic.
Speaking of icon: DARNA 👏 DARNA 👏 DARNA 👏
The anticipation around the “Darna” reboot has wrapped it’s strong, beautiful armor around Liza since she was announced as Angel Locsin’s successor for Mars Ravelo’s Filipina superheroine back in May 2017. Liza has been training hard for her superstar-making role, pushing her body to its absolute limits in strength training, dance lessons, and martial arts sessions.

She was also a picture of grace when the “Darna” reboot bid farewell to director Erik Matti, and welcomed aboard Jerrold Tarog. The “Heneral Luna” and “Goyo” director is still finalizing the script for the action film. According to Liza, they will resume filming early in 2019.

“LizQuen Movie 2019” (a working title, of course) has also been a hot topic around this pair. They’ve teamed up with “Love You to the Stars and Back” director Antoinette Jadaone and ABS-CBN Films’ newest production outfit, Black Sheep, for an upcoming romantic drama which will undoubtedly, you know, destroy our hearts, souls, and make us yearn for love in a deep and emotional way. Aminin mo, excited ka na. Don’t worry, we are too!

According to Star Cinema Managing Director Inang Olive Lamasan, the film is slated for release on Valentine’s Day next year. It will mark LizQuen’s return to the big screen after Cathy Garcia-Molina’s 2017 hit “My Ex and Whys”.
“My Ex and Whys” was, of course, one of 2017’s biggest films and it landed Liza and Enrique the Box Office Queen and King Award from the 49th Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation Box Office Entertainment Awards.
That wasn’t the only award under LizQuen’s belt this year: Liza won the Most Influential Female Endorser of the Year at the 8th EdukCircle Awards. She was also awarded the Makabata Star Awardee at the Anak TV Seal Awards 2018. Enrique’s film “Seven Sundays” also won the Asia-Pacific Tambuli “Cinema for Good” Award.
And since winning is the name of LizQuen’s game: all eyes were on them at the ABS-CBN Ball 2018 held last September 29. The on-and-off-screen couple was among the hundreds of Kapamilya stars who attended the Ball, and of course, they made history, being the beautiful demigods that they are, when they took this photo and lo and behold, it became the most liked Instagram post in the country.

Of course that wasn’t the only party LizQuen absolutely slayed at: first up, we have their epic Haunted Hollywood Halloween party which brought together the spooks of our favorite big-screen monsters, and the absolute star power of this love team and their adorable celebrity friends. It’ll be a while before anyone can top Liza’s Pennywise, the Dancing Clown from “It” or Enrique’s Joker from “Suicide Squad.” Don’t fight us on this.

And let’s never sleep on that time that Liza organized a surprise Jamaican-themed birthday party back in March for his 26th year on earth. #JamaiQuenParty? Remember? It was a piece of iconic-ness that made us all melt into a puddle of kilig. It was held in Bauan, Batangas, and all of Enrique's closest family and friends were in attendance. It's official: no one throws a party like LizQuen.

As we said earlier, 2019 will be a bigger year for LizQuen, and here’s to hoping that they’ll keep getting bigger and better in the years to come. We honestly cannot wait to witness more of their future achievements, and you better know that we’ll file every single one for more “All Ins”. Cheers, everybody!
