James Reid made a rare statement calling for positivity last night, December 14, not just as a boyfriend of Nadine Lustre, but as her creative collaborator in Careless Music Manila, of which he is a co-founder.
The actor took to Twitter last night, December 14, to make a strong declaration of support for Nadine, as well as his other Careless artists, seemingly directed at bashers of their groundbreaking musical collaboration. He wrote, “I love and support Nadine. Careless too. Don’t question that. Of course, we don’t condone any hateful comments towards anyone. Honestly I don’t think it’s worth anyone’s time addressing them. Let’s focus on positivity. Careless won’t be working with anyone that insults my artists.”
The statement was met with glowing reviews from the JaDine fandom, receiving upwards of 250 replies as of writing.
He also announced that he will be releasing a new single called “Filipina Girl” which he co-wrote with Nadine. He said:
James and Nadine made an appearance at the ABS-CBN Christmas Special last Tuesday, December 11. Their last big screen outing under Star Cinema was in the 2015 Vice Ganda comedy, “Beauty and the Bestie.”
