Nonong 'Banky' de Andres, dead at 71

Mostly known as Banky in his several horror and comedy movies since the late 80s, veteran actor Nonong de Andres passed away in Plaridel, Quezon, today, November 6.

The sad news was announced by his nephew, Powee Capino, in a Facebook post.

"Please pray for the eternal repose of the soul of my Tito Nonong who passed away early this morning. He is more popularly known as “Bangkay” in horror movies and “Bangky” in Forevermore. This is aside from the hundreds of movies and TV appearances he was in throughout his acting career. He was 71," he wrote.

Meanwhile, lead stars of the 2015 TV series "Forevermore" Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil gave their tribute to Nonong, who played as their Tito Banky in the teleserye.
