Before she became one of our morning momshies, Jolina Magdangal was the Queen of the 90s.
Just like the most in-demand Kapamilya stars we have today, Jolina served her audience the ultimate vibe of a perfect leading lady, movie star, and fashion influencer in the early years of her career.
And as she celebrates her 40th birthday today, November 6, let us walk down memory lane to revisit all the right reasons she should be called a national treasure.
Jolina, then 17, was cast in the Gary Valenciano and Dayanara Torres' musical film "Hataw Na" in which she showcased her singing and dancing skills.
And with the voice of an angel, Jolina once again wowed her supporters in "Ang TV Movie: The Adarna Adventure", singing its theme song "Hintayin Mo Lang"
In 1997, Jolina starred in "Flames The Movie" opposite Marvin Agustin that introduced them as one of the most successful love teams during those years.
Their undeniable chemistry took them to more romance-comedy movies such as "Kung Ayaw Mo, Huwag Mo" with Maricel Soriano, "Gimik: The Reunion", "Hey Babe", and the most notable, "Labs Kita, Okey Ka Lang".
Ang iconic! ❤
Happy birthday, Jolina!
