Empress Schuck started at the age of 7 as an actress. 14 years have passed, Empress admitted that she grew tired of the business.
In a report by PUSH yesterday, November 29, the actress shared why she almost left the industry permanently.
"I got to the point na sure ba ako? Parang napagod ako, hindi na ako happy. Hindi ako sure that time kung ano ba ang dapat na decision," Empress related.
She even convinced her manager Becky Aguila to let her quit.
“Ilang beses akong lumapit sa kanya para i-explain na hindi na ako happy. Hindi niya ako pinipilit, lagi lang siyang nagbibigay ng peace of mind. Sabi niya, ‘I believe in you, sayang!’
The 25-year-old actress also revealed that she got to a point where her heart's happiness is more important than her passion.
"Pero ano’ng magagawa ng passion mo if you’re not happy. So parang I’ll try to find my happiness first and then pagsabayin ko."
Meanwhile in 2015, she gave birth to Athalia, her daughter with boyfriend Vino Guingona. Then she found what she has been looking for, for the past 14 years of her life in the biz.
“I found my happiness talaga as in, totoong happiness na unconditional talaga na hindi mo in-expect na may ganitong happiness na dadating sa ‘yo. Dumating kasi sa point na mawala na ang lahat, basta kasama ko ‘yung happiness ko which is si Athalia and the father of my baby. Kaming tatlo kahit fantasy man siya, ngayon ko lang ‘to nararamdaman, ngayon ko lang ‘to makukuha sa buong buhay ko na never kong nakuha, so ayaw ko siyang pakawalan.”
Empress most notable Star Cinema movie outings are "9 Mornings", "On the Job", and "Pagpag: Siyam na Buhay".
She also appeared in the recently concluded Kapamilya Gold series "Asintado" with Julia Montes.
