Revilla. A true household name in Philippine action films. But let's admit it, it's been quite a while since we've heard a new offering from their family. So when we got the news that this 2018, the third generation of Revillas are the stars of the new action film "Tres,” we felt that it's a brave undertaking especially since apart from Jolo, his brothers Bryan and Luigi are relatively newbies.
When we saw them last September 28 for an edition of Star Cinema Chat, we saw three men who weren't exactly trying to fill in the shoes of their father Bong Revilla and grandfather Ramon Revilla Sr. in the action territory, but rather three men who have their own visions and personalities.
Jolo admitted that the pressure is of course, inevitable. He said, "Isang malaking hamon sa amin 'yun kung papaano. Siyempre hindi mawawala 'yung pagko-compare. Kung hindi man namin malampasan, matapatan man lang."
Luigi, the youngest of the three, then interjected, "Pero ang importante binigay naman namin 'yung 100% namin at ang importante, proud sa amin si Papa."
Meanwhile, Bryan shared that he just truly enjoyed the experience of creating an action masterpiece. "Ako nag-enjoy lang talaga na gawin 'to, eh. Nabigyan ako ng pagkakataon na i-express talaga kung anong nilalaman ng puso ko, kasi bata pa lang ako gusto ko na talaga maging action star eh."
There are a lot of things we found out about them during the course of the light interview, but it was when we asked them to do a little game that we saw how much fun these three are. So, here are five things we found out about the Revilla bros!
1. Vain si Jolo
Bryan and Luigi didn't think twice, and Jolo even admitted it himself that yes, he is indeed, vain.
But hey, Jolo made a case for his so-called narcissism, saying, "Banidoso [ako] in such a way na siyempre kailangan namang maging maayos 'yung itsura mo. Dapat laging pogi. Ang pangit naman na haharap ka nang hindi ka nakaayos."
Okay lang, Jolo. Pinapatawad ka na namin.
2. Si Bryan ang pinakamakulit out of the three
The answer was pretty much obvious for this one, because as soon as we began, the one who has been at the top of his energy game was Bryan. LOL.
"Sorry, medyo nasobrahan ata ako ngayon sa asukal at saka sa kape (laughs)," Bryan said.
3. Luigi eats barbells for breakfast
"Si Luigi po kinakain po niya talaga sa umaga, barbell." That is what Bryan said when we asked them who is the most obsessed about working out.
4. The one with the most exes?
Bryan said it's Jolo. But Jolo and Luigi both agreed that it's Bryan!
Jolo admitted that he had four exes. And while we are waiting for Bryan to share how many exes he had, Jolo came to his defense, saying, "Hindi siya nangongolekta ng ex. Friendly lang."
Talaga ba, guys??
5. Sino ang pinakamayaman out of the three?
Okay but we know that jokes are half-meant, right??
